Cookies and storage
The pm-os website uses no cookies. It stores only two small choices that you make yourself with the buttons in the header: language and light or dark mode.
Version: 2 November 2026
01Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser, sent back to the server on each visit. This website sets no cookies. It also uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
02What is stored: browser storage
The website uses localStorage, which is different from cookies: a small storage area inside your browser that stays with you and is never sent to a server. Only the page’s script in your browser reads and writes it.
- Name
pmos-lang- Content
csoren: the language you chose with the CS / EN buttons- Purpose
- show the page in your chosen language on your next visit
- Name
pmos-theme- Content
lightordark: the mode you chose with the moon / sun button- Purpose
- show the page in your chosen mode on your next visit
Values are written only when you yourself switch the language or the mode. Without your click, nothing is stored. They have no expiry: they stay in the browser until you delete them.
03Why there is no consent banner
Both values are choices you make yourself, and they serve only to let the page remember that choice. Nothing about you can be read from them, they are not sent anywhere, not combined with anything else and not used for tracking. That is why the website shows no consent banner. If a tool that stores more or tracks visitors were ever added, this page would change before it goes live.
04What the website reads without storing
On first opening of the Czech address, the page reads your browser’s preferred language and picks Czech or English accordingly. Likewise for the mode it follows your system setting (light or dark). This information is neither stored nor sent anywhere.
05How to clear the choices
Delete the site’s data in your browser settings (in some browsers called “site data” or “local storage”). The page will then follow your device’s language and mode again.
06Server logs
The server hosting the website keeps ordinary technical logs of requests. What they contain and what they are for is described in the privacy policy.
